UYUNI: FULL DAY TOUR

Itinerary

The tour starts at 10:30 AM in the morning at our office.

The first place to visit is the Train Cemetery, an abandoned graveyard where you can see old railway machines of Bolivia. We continue to visit the town of Colchani, this is a perfect place for shopping handicrafts and learn about the salt production process of Bolivia.

Entering to the salt desert, we might see the Eyes of Water (not available during summer), which are puddle of underground water coming from underneath the salt.

Dakar Salt monument will be close to our lunch location. We will walk into the world’s first salt hotel ever built. Later, there is a stop to take pictures in the majestic Salar de Uyuni which is 10,582 square kilometers.

The tour continues moving to the Incahuasi Island, an island of giant cacti of hundreds of years of life; in this place, we’ll walk to the top, where there is a spectacular panoramic view of the Salar de Uyuni and Thunupa Volcano.

To end the day, we move to a beautiful spot in the Salar to observe the sunset, then return to Uyuni town. 

We arrive in Uyuni at 07:30 PM approximately.

Pick up is available for the following locations: Uyuni’s bus & train stations and central hotels.
Hotel pick up starts after we depart our Uyuni office at 10:30 AM.
